Dear Friends of Adnan and Sufi Foundation. It has been months now since Adnan passed. The loss has been great for everyone who loved him. His message to be positive, to be in the moment, to be in the spirit remain in the practices he passed on, in the words he spoke and wrote, and in the manner in which he lived. Experiencing life without his physical presence has shown me just how much he gave. He created a vast community bonded in the experiences we had in the workshops with him. He was very human, but he approached life with a very deep attachment to seeking out the best in every situation. His methods evolved over years of fine tuning the workshops, understanding his students and engaging them in any way he could to draw them into a state of presence, peace and acceptance.
Adnan brought a very fine and subtle understanding of life. His gentleness and compassion underpinned his sharp perceptions about human character. It was his purpose in life to educate, teach, nurture and build. His endurance, commitment, humility, faith, patience, humor and ease came from living a very sincere life.
Here is a link to a slide montage of his life beginning in Bagdhad. Anyone who feels they could help expand it and put a sound track to it please contact Tamsin
In Memory of Adnan.
